bash script to load a workspace? - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

I would like a small bash script to run in my xinit that would: load 2-3 apps into an X workspace 2 (virtual X desktop 2) rather than the default workspace 1. Is that possible in bash somehow? I am unable to find an appropriate bash command that might do that... Larry Gagnon -- ******************************** to send direct email remove "fake"...

    Hi Larry,

The method for doing this depends on the window manager that you are using.
Which window manager are you using ?
