    Yikes G4
    1 gig RAM
    600MHz
    OSX 10.2.8

Pshop freezes (CS and 7) as soon as I hit batch command, whether in browser or from automate command. This is a new problem, software has been running smoothly for months...
Menus go gray and only a force quit works, reboot not required
    Any thoughts???

These types of things frequently come about because something has changed in your computer or Photoshop environment. Can you identify any (no matter how small) changes you've made since things worked OK, e.g., installed a new program? Modified PS preferences? Wrote a new action?

If you can and you can "back them out," that might be a place to start.

Then there's the standard "trash and rebuild the PS Preferences file" approach that seems to cure some weird behavios. That might be worth a try, too.

most people would start by trashing preferences and disk maintenance...unless you added something just prior to the problem
