    Default Batch- New Document

    I am in a pickle.

I've written 6 or 7 batches. The first action in each batch begins with "set file info for current document" or "convert to profile current document". The batch works if I have the files open in photoshop (and choose source: open files) but if I am batching from a folder, photoshop asks me for a new document and proceeds to name it "hpothb07.extension". I have NO idea why it names it that (rather than say untitled.doc). . .is it a bug?.. . anyways, I've also tried to start the batch(s) with an "open" action and then override it but it still asks for a new document with that file name. Is there a way to write a batch w/out the "current document" bit? I'm thinking that might be the problem.

    PLAESE HELP!

to get around your deadline maybe you can batch from the browser. select all the files in the browser then set Browser as source. worry about fixing it after your deadline.
