Beep-media-player instead of xmms - Ubuntu

Some of you may be using xmms for audio. I like xmms because it uses all my favorite old winamp skins but I never liked the old 1995 looking menus. The solution seems to be use beep-media-player instead. It claims to be a direct replacement for xmms based on gtk2. Menu interface has been greatly improved though. Pop zipped skins in ~/.bmp/Skins and away you go. Check out Nlog. It's a great looking skin on Ubuntu. http://www.winamp.com/skins/details.php?id=81567 Chuck...

I was quite happy when found BMP as well, the improved interface makes a
big difference. Thanks for link to the winamp skin.. it was a favorite in
my old winamp days and looks great on Ubuntu.

Yeah, it's got the look of older Marantz or Macintosh audio equipment.
