beginGradientFill() > matrix
Hi,
I'm having some difficulty understanding the matrix properties for the
beginGradientFill method. So far (I think) I have found out the following.
matrix =
{a:value,b:value,c:value,d:value,e:value,f:value,g :value,h:value,i:value}
in which
a=xSize
b=vSkew
c=??
d=hSkew
e=ySize
f=??
g=xPos
h=yPos
i=??
Please enlighten me on what properties are controlled by the c, f and I
parameter. The dictionary is of no help to me; did a search and found some
things but nothing that could explain the above. And please correct me on
the above if needed ;-)
Thanks for any input.
John

Re: beginGradientFill() > matrix
Hello Laiverd,
matrixType This value should always be "box".
x The x coordinate of the bottom-left corner of the gradient.
y The y coordinate of the bottom-left corner of the gradient.
width The width of the gradient in pixels.
height The height of the gradient in pixels.
r The rotation of the gradient in radians (not degrees).
-you can also use transformMatrix class which is included on the Flash
CD-ROM under goodies\macromedia\othersamples\transformmatrix.as
hth.

Re: beginGradientFill() > matrix
Tnx for the info. The cookbook was the only thing I did not yet have a peek
in, so that's a good one ;-) But about:
matrixType This value should always be "box". I think there's two
ways to define a matrix: with or without the matrixType defined. If omitted,
you have to end up with those 9 properties of the matrix object, which allow
for more control over the gradient. I'll have a look at the
transformmatrix.as.
Tnx again.
