Default Bending Text Around a Circle

I am attempting to bend text around a circle using FH MX 11.0.1 I want to bend a word around the top of the circle and another word around the bottom of the circle. I have done this before on a previous version of Freehand but for some reason I cannot figure out how to do it today.. Any help anyone?

I presume you are not referring to text on a path... do you mean Envelopes? (Windows-Tool Bar-Envelope). This will allow you to bed text into all sorts of shapes... although I find the feature frustrating to use. I might recommend the program Typestyler for stuff like that... but they've been taking forever to upgrade to OSX. Hope this helps.

If you did mean attach text to a path...
Hit the return key between the text you want on top of the circle and the
text you want at the bottom.

This sets text on top and bottom of a circle:
    1. Type text as:
    "TOP TEXT (return)
    BOTTOM TEXT"

    2. Select circle and text block. Text > Attach to Path.

    3. In Object Inspector, select 'Text on Path' for positioning options.

If you want the letters to spread wider at the outside of circle and
narrower towards the center, you'll have to use the Envelope. Post again if
you want instructions for the Envelope shapes to use.

As has been suggested, 'attach to path' is the way to go. I do this all the time and it works well in MX as it did in previous versions. 1) Make a circle or any shape or line, 2) If you want to see the circle and have the text sitting on the circle then clone the first circle and move it away from the original circle in the direction where you want the text to be, 3) compose your text with the text tool, or copy it from elsewhere, 4) Select the circle and the text and use the top menu Text/Attach to path to attach the text to the circle (if you use it often learn the shortcut given in the menu), and 5) If the text is upside-down then use Text/Detach from path, select the circle only and use from top menu Extras/Cleanup/Reverse direction (you won't see any difference in the circle, but it does it) and again attach the text to the circle. PS: I find that editing the two circles is a chore. Simply start over again.
