Best EPS format?
I work on a Mac and I'd like to know the best EPS format so it can be opened in any program that supports EPS's on a PC.

Quark EPS (the name is misleading; it's a vanilla-flavor EPS format that
seems to work well with every app I've tried it with).
If you're going to be placing these EPSs into a layout on a PC (as
opposed to opening as you mention above, which I infer to mean editing)
then you can skip the convert to paths step if you wish and just make
sure the fonts are embedded in the EPS - I'd still recommend using the
Quark EPS format.

Re: Best EPS format?
Thanks Brian. I know that "Generic EPS" can't be opened for editing by either Mac or PC so why have it. I've used the Quark EPS before and I agree but you never know that's why I asked.
Thanks again

like it looks in Freehand. That is, when you open it in Photoshop. I have
no experience in placing it in dtp-programs like Quark en InDesign.
You will have to make all the colours RGB in Freehand if you use
Gradients, otherwise the colours of gradients will be bleached a bit, is
my experience.
