Best hosting for SQL Server/ASP
Where you can use schedule jobs, backup your own data, run
DTS processes, etc. I have ReadyHosting and I am quite
limited in what I can do. I have to call them to backup
my data, I cannot run DTS processes, cannot schedule
jobs. I want a better host where I can have more control
of SQL Server for my data. Does anyone know of a good ASP
host with those options available for SQL Server?

Get your own server if you want full control. Personally, I have a server
from www.servermatrix.com. I had a Verio server before this, but Verio's
prices are just too insane.

Also, the host must be able to allocate about 1GB to users
for their SQL Databases. I have a database with 200,000
rows and my database size is about 750MB, I tried to
shrink the file but I can't because I'm not a member of
SYSADMIN role, is there another way to decrease the size
of your sql database?

If you use the SQL Server for website development only,
what type of license would you need? I think the one you
need for website development is like $25,000, now that's
expensive to most small businesses.Personally, I have a server>-----Original Message-----

processor.
