I will never use non genuine ever ever ever again (they are more expensive
due to bad prints, banding, colour casts etc), but I think the price of
genuine inks is unbelievable considering they do not last either.

Does any body in the newsgroup think the S9000 is economical on ink?
Without doing any real tests and by pure estimation, I think the printer
cost me between $3-$4 per A4 print....er, about 40 - 50 A4 sheets between
the change of 6 coloured inks, regardless of which ones I change.

That equates to about $1.25 - $1.50 per 10x15cm print using canon Phot paper
pro. Some online places are I think less than 50c for that.

Oh well. Nice prints though.

The guarantee from Calidad is not worth the paper it's printed on.
I stuffed up an i320 with a Calidad cartridge and all they'd do for me is
tell me to stick the print head/cartridge on a wet cloth and see if I could
clear it that way! Next phone call? "Sorry if that didn't help, there is
nothing more I can do".

Buy your inks in bulk at www.inkjetgoodies.com at approximately 95% less
than genuine inks. I use them and have not had a single problem in nearly 12
months. Even with shipping to oz, these came in at approximately 1/20th
(yes, one-twentieth) the price of canon inks, and they are OEM quality...
absolutely superb. you cannot see ANY difference, i have done
before-and-after tests.

highly recommended, and not just by me (do a search, or look on dpreview
etc. cheap, but very high quality ink).

Not bad, Stuart.

Just to confirm, these are genuine canon BCI-6xx inks.

How much for postage for a set of all six. May just order some from you
next week. Where abouts are you, anywhere near sydney?

Cheers

it's their own brand- "goodies", bought in bulk bottles of 1 quart each i
think- about 500 or 600ml each. works EXTREMELY well, i coldn't be happier
(with my s9000)- it makes the ink cost negligible per page, a couple of
cents tops. the only thing you need to think about is the paper and now i
don't blink an eyelid at printing lots of full-bleed A3 as the ink is cheap,
and already paid for.

*jooooyyyyyy*

oh yeah, and it's really easy to refill the blank carts i bought from them
too- they are completely clear and come with rubber stoppers to put in the
top fill hole, plus snap-on caps for the exit ports. i have 2 sets of six,
takes a minute to fill each one, no mess or anything because you can see
exactly what you are doing (can't say the same for my previous attempts at
refilling epson carts which are opaque and always overflowed)

Hi Bill,

Yes, Genuine Canon - in fact, not just genuine Canon, but genuine
Canon Australia canon inks... not brought in from OS...

O/n freight with Australian Air Express is either $11 or $13.20,
dependant on how they box out... as I now have eight people enquiring
and six sets on the shelf, I won't guarantee they'll be in stock, but
even if they aren't they'll only be a couple of days away from
Canon...

I'm in Adelaide...

shipping was about $30 USd i think. no customs fees. excellent service, but
i'm not sure they still accept international orders- you may have missed the
boat.
