Best way of adding pop-up menu to a tamplate - Macromedia Dreamweaver

Hello Everyone: I am using DWMX v. 6.1 on XP. I have created a template and am trying to add a pop-up menu using the behaviours panel but the option is greyed out. Default Best way of adding pop-up menu to a tamplate

    Hello Everyone:

I am using DWMX v. 6.1 on XP.

I have created a template and am trying to add a pop-up menu
using the behaviours panel but the option is greyed out.

If I try to do so in a non-template doent I have no problems.

Does anyone why this is happening?

If there are problems with templates and pop-up behaviours, can
any one tell me if there are any pop-up add-ons that WILL work well
    with templates?

I can definitely roll my own, but I'm really not looking forward to doings so.

I will be thankfull for any help.

This really comes down to a pathing issue. There are some workarounds
    though. Try this:

Show Pop-Up Menu behavior not available in template pages
