Hi,

I use the open source version of big brother - " big sister ", it will run
on just about any
OS, and of course is free.

I think the best tool out there is Nagios.
Nagios was formerly known as Netsaint. It's very easy to set up and configure
and there are some basic Oracle plugins available.
Moreover, it's very easy to set up your own plugins...they're pretty much any command
line program.

.... and one more for You ... I use the GUI-tool "HORA" provided by
http://www.keeptool.de/.
Good to supervise 300 sessions, their locks, and to manage schema objects,
users, stored procedures,
sql tuning and my favorit: reverse engineering.

Hope this helps
