Bitmap EPS's in CS now print as ASCII to HP 5SiMX
Started with one new G5 (2x200, 2Gb RAM, 10.3.3) & now a second is doing the same thing.
Worked fine before, then once Illustrator CS crashed I can't get placed bitmap EPS files to print as anything other than ASCII to our networked HP Laserjet 5SiMX.
Prints as one line of jibberish, then several blank sheets passed thru, tremendous waste of paper & time.
Tossed IP printer & reconfigured a new one, no change.
Only way to print this stuff is to save as PDF & print from Acrobat.
Designers NOT happy with this workaround.

I'll give it a shot, first trash AI CS preferences, then remove the printer from the print center printers list. then restart the computer repair the permissions add the printer back to the printer list. then repair the permissions again and then launch AI CS and see if you can now print as binary.

I'm looking for one of those ".plist" things, right? I'm new to troubleshooting X & haven't had problems I haven't been able to solve prior to this one.
Permissions are easy, at least they have been so far.
