Default Bitmap image colors match FH colors?

If I import an image from Photoshop with a particular CMYK background color (as
an example) will it match the same CMYK color selected in Freehand MX when
printed on any printer? In other words so that the printed border between the
bitmap image edge and an adjacent Freehand solid is seamless?

    MacOSX 10.3.3, Freehand MX (v11.02)

    Thanks much, James

The fly in the ointment is 'printed on any printer'. If the printer accepts
and interprets CMYK output, then the answer is yes, probably. However, many
desktop inkjet printers use RGB input and convert that to proprietary inks.

What printer or printers will you be printing to? Is it a Postscript
printer? What does the printer documentation recommend? What is the intended
    final use for the artwork?

In my experience, if a percentage is, say, 3% in Photoshop, it could be
actually 2.6% as Photoshop doesn't register fractions of a percent in
it's info picker. This can cause a problem in the case you've mentioned
    when outputting to film.
A simple work around if you're working with a flat tone/colour (and this
works very well when dealing with Colour printer output) is from the
Photoshop file, cut and save a reasonable size colour swatch (say, 2cm x
2cm). Then, import that swatch into Freehand, paste inside the background
object or send to background and just stretch (enlarge) the swatch to
fill the background as desired. That way, you should have no perceivable
difference from the image to the background.
Bit of a "paperclip" fix but works well ;)
