Bitmap Images: Quality Terrible in Flash Player but OK in Browser
Hello.
I'm very frustrated, and am requesting help.
I've imported a bunch of bitmaps into a Flash MX 2004 slide show
presentation.
When I publish the movie, and then open it in Flash Player 7, the
quality is terrible.
When I open the movie using the generated HTML file, though, the
quality of the movie in the web browser is fine. But the problem with
THAT is: You can't see the entire image in the browser without
scrolling. I don't want that.
Here's what I did to try to solve the problem:
I went into the library, where the bitmaps are listed. I manually
edited the properties for each bitmap, setting each one to JPG and
manually setting the quality for each one to 99.
The problem with this is that I have to do this for each and every
bitmap. I don't see any way of setting them all at once. If I have
50 bitmaps, this can get boring.
In Publish Settings, I also set the quality of the JPG images to 99,
but I don't know if that helps or not.
So, my questions are:
1. How do I get the quality of the movie to be optimal when displayed
in Flash Player?
2. How do I set the quality of the images so that I don't have to
edit them one-by-one? Is that possible?
Thank you.

Re: Bitmap Images: Quality Terrible in Flash Player but OK in Browser
Duh.
I think I figured out the problem, and I feel like an idiot.
It has nothing to do with Flash. The Flash Player was set to
View/Show All.
When I set the View option to 100%, BINGO. Perfect quality.
Now...here's a follow-up question:
Is there a way to configure Flash to display the movie in the Flash
Player at 100% by default?
Thank you!
