bleeds and master page help

I created a 5 page document with facing pages and a bleed of 0.125 all around each page. I ran a coloured text frame into the bleed on both odd and even master pages. When I click on page one of the spread, the pasteboard to the left of page one has the text frame visible, although it isn't a page. All other pages are fine. I am wondering if there is something I need to set somewhere to only show the text box on the actual pages of the spread...nothing else from the master pages shows in this spot. TIA :)

Good day, eh? Maybe define this again without using facing pages. When you bleed to the inside gutter, you may find it better to setup the document as NOT facing pages. There are buggy issues in InDesign CS when object frames overlap from the left master onto the right. You could be careful not to bleed the inside bleed past the spine line, and then it wouldn't show on page one.

BTW, why is the document 5 pages? With facing pages, wouldn't you want multiples of a 4 page count? Are you really using bleeds at all? How is it being printed?
