Blue Screen Of Death!
As I reach the latter stages of the design of a Director Movie to be
distributed on CD via a projector (MX), I was horrified to be told of a blue
screen apearing on one of my testers machines.
I am just checking if it is possible for a projector to cause such a
problem?
The machine is only a month old, running XP, and has just (in the last 24
hours) had its Norton Anti-Virus updated. Any of these factors could be the
problem and not the director projector.
I have taken steps to try to isolate the problem, but wondered if the
projector could have caused it? The director does write a key to the
registry at the very beginning (using BUDDY API) and does check to see if
its there in one place in the movie (again, using BUDDY API). The user was
not in the part of the movie that does these actions when the machine blue
screened.
Any encouraging comments to this worried developer.....??
