Blur Fades in Illustrator.
Hello Board,
I was wondering if it is possible to create a blur fade of a shape in Illustrator (keeping the object vector) to only a certain part of the object. I know that in Photoshop you can use the marquee and apply a blur to specific areas of a object/image, but I cannot figure out how to do that in AI.
Basically I have a cloudy effect that I would like to blend into the background, by blurring it, or fading the bottom into the background.
Any help is appreciated.

try selecting the object (clouds) that you want to fade, and then go under "effect/stylize/feather". you can adjust how much "feathering" you want. it should give you that disappearing look around the edges.
that is one way to do it....
hope that helps!
