Boot problems on 595
Hi there,
system is AIX 4.3.3 ML 10 on a 595 deskside server.
After the last shutdown after installing OpenAFS I saw the flashing 888.
I did not change anything on the hardware side. After resetting the
machine I got the c32 code.
Then I attached a null modem cable to S1 (wiring should be fine,
normally goes to my UPS) and fired up kermit in connect mode on my other
machine. This got me up to the 42c code ... blank ... nothing. On the
Linux side ... no sign of life.
What am I about to do from here?
How can it be that there is no decent way to talk to my server? ($40.000
5 yrs. ago was probably not good enough for IBM).
Kinda upset, regards Martin.
