Booting directly into Linux - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

Hi all, I have a PC that is only running Linux (RH 7.2). The person who installed the OS (not me!!) also installed LILO which I don't need. How can I get the PC to boot Linux directly and bypass LILO?? Thanks in advance, Mark...

You need something in the MBR to either jump to a boot sector and its
secondary loader or to invoke the kernel directly. Lilo serves this
    pirpose.

Why non edit /etc/lilo.conf instead? Remove any excess stanzas and leave in
only the global section and the linux stanza and its arguments and set the
    default time to zero.
