Default Booting OS 9 on a dual 1.42 G4, can it be done?

The subject pretty much says it all... "Booting OS 9 on a dual 1.42 G4,
    can it be done?"

I have heard via word-of-mouth that there is a hack out there that will
allow it (the firewire 800 port doesn't work, bluetooth doesn't work,
etc. -- that's all fine and dandy), I've searched around on the web and
can't find anything about it though. Can someone point me in the right
    direction?

And for the record, I have a few users who need to use a few OS 9 apps
that do not work in classic and do not have OS X versions, as well there
are no OS X equivalents replacements (some of them have been developed
    in-house).

There is a hack to allow the new flat-panel iMacs to boot OS 9. The "hack" is
actually a custom MacOS ROM file, creatd by Apple for the use of certain system
technicians for troubleshooting purposes. Distributing that file is not legal.

I have not heard of any similar capability or MacOS ROM file for dual G4
    systems...sorry!
