    Default breadcrumbs

Could someone please give me some suggestions about including breadcrumbs, or something like, on a website. The site is static, and I do not have access to server-side stuff.

I've looked at the javascript solutions, but they seem to list the folders instead of the files. This makes for some dead links in the crumb trail.

    Thanks

    Default Breadcrumbs

    Hi all,

Ok, so I'm very new to breadcrumbs. I've looked at the dreamweaver extension, but have some trouble implementing it. The script works wonderfully but is full of links to folders and not to files.

My question: To use a breadcrumb, does each file in the site have to be in its own folder? Are there any other solutions?

    Thanks for all the help.

Bread crumbs are great for organizing a site that uses folders for areas
    like:

home < siteroot trail = Site Name
Articles < folder trail = Site Name > Articles
    Category 1 < folder trail = Site Name > Articles > Category 1
    Article A < file trail = Site Name > Articles > Category
    1 > Article A
    Article B < file trail = Site Name > Articles > Category
    1 > Article B
    Category 2 < folder trail = Site Name > Articles > Category 2
    Article 1 < file trail = Site Name > Articles > Category
    2 > Article 1
    Article 2 < file trail = Site Name > Articles > Category
    2 > Article 2
Gallery < folder trail = Site Name > Gallery

so that path to the file is folders and content can be grouped in the
    folders
