Browser Address Window Image Change...
Hi guys... My first post here. I hope you all can help me out.
I'm looking to change the icon in the address window of IE. Is this something that can be done with DHTML or is it another issue? If so, can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Browser Address Window Image Change...
Hi B,
You can create a favicon.ico and pop it in the root of your website folder.
If a user bookmarks your page, the next time they go to it, the icon will be available to them.

Re: Browser Address Window Image Change...
Well, is it possible to get it to show without the visitors having to bookmark the page? Also, is it someting that is browser specific? For instance... A friend has IE 5.0 and if he goes to Google.com, there is a "G" icon in the address bar. However, I have IE 6.0 and can't see it.

Re: Browser Address Window Image Change...
Hi,
Its a "browser thing" alright. IE specific.
Your friend booked marked Google, the chances are, you didnt.
There is no way to display it unless you bookmark.

Dan.
