Bug in OLE DB Provider for Microsoft Directory Services and SQL2K? - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

1) What happens if you swap the view for a temp_table and look at the data in the temp table? 2) Are there any nulls in the columns SN, givenName or scriptPath used in the WHERE clause? See SET CONCAT_NULL_YIELDS_NULL "Greg Wilson" <iastate.edu> wrote in message news:010801c355ec$679533a0$gbl... ...

    No change by switching to a temp_table

    No change setting CONCAT_NULL_YIELDS_NULL either ON or OFF

    Hi Greg,

    I used the following to reproduce the problem on my side and scriptPath is
    not NULL.
    CREATE VIEW viewADUsers
    AS
    SELECT [Name], SN [Last Name], givenName [First Name],
    telephoneNumber Phone, scriptPath
    FROM OPENQUERY( ADSI,
    'SELECT Name, SN, givenName, telephoneNumber, scriptPath
    FROM ''LDAP://<domain controller>''
    WHERE objectCategory = ''Person'' AND
    objectClass = ''user'' AND
    SN=''*'' AND givenName=''*'' AND
    scriptPath = ''*''')
    GO

    SELECT * FROM viewADUsers

    Could you check with my exact steps on your side? What is the result? In
    addition, does the problem happen on other computers as well?
