Hey all,

I really hope someone can help with this because I can't update the site as long as this error is occurring. I think it's really unfortunate that Dreamweaver considers its own program flaws the user's problem (i/e you have to pay for the support beyond the 2 free instances). But what are ya gonna do, right? :)

So here's the problem: Our site has gotten huge (when it's building the cache it says there's 8,000+ files for instance - though there aren't nearly that many files in actuality -- I've never really been sure what that figure means when you run a site cache). Now when I try to save the master template from which all files are made and propagate the changes to those files, it gets about 6,750 "files" into the process and then gives me an error:

While executing receiveArguments in File_Save.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:

At line 45 of file "C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\Menus\MM\File_Save.js": exception throw in native function

At line 78 of file "\\[our file location\Main_Template.dwt.php":
SyntaxError: syntax error

I can't see any reason for this newly occurring bug except that may be the number of files using that template has gone over some limit that breaks the code to run the updating.

Can anyone offer me any help with this? Macromedia- are you listening?

Thanks very much,
-Mike Flynn
