Default Bull Escala and Raid 5

    Hi.

I have a server Bull Escala, with raid 5. A few days ago a disk
crushed and Bull assistance told me that the raid can't be
"automaticaly" remade. So according to them, we must rebuild the raid
again, formating all drives and installing our S.O. (aix 4) againg....

This is a boring situation, because i thought that raid 5 can be
rebuilted "automaticaly" when a disk crashes, without blow out
    everything.

Does anybody have an opinion about this ?

    Thanks.
