burning product: CD-ROM capacity question
G'day
I'm a couple of weeks away from sending my first product off to the printer.
I could really do with 700 meg on the CD. I know printers will press that
much, and my drive could read it, but isn't the official capacity 640 meg?
Does anyone know what's reasonable to expect these days if printing for mass
market sales? Do only ancient CD-ROMs/computers have trouble with a 700 meg
pressed CD?
Any ideas? If the 640 meg limit is real, then I'll have to be a bit creative
trying to reduce the size of the thing, which I'm trying to avoid. Practical
advice appreciated.
David.

My impression is that it's just an issue for older drives, have you
tried shockwave compressed director files or mp3 audio, projectors
handle wither OK.

Hi yes they are all shocked. It's a big product - I've been working on it
for 15 months. There's a lot of audio.
David.
