Button Displays Lime Green - Why? - Macromedia Fireworks

I am a fairly new user of Fireworks (I have version 4), and just created a button which should display different colors for up, over, down, etc. It works just fine while previewing in Fireworks, but when I inserted it my my Dreamweaver webpage and previewed in IE, the button just shows up as lime green -- the color of the hotspot. Anybody know why it does this, and how to get around it?...

How did you export the button?

Try exporting it from Fireworks and Images and HTML before you import it
    into Dreamweaver.

You're probably seeing the green slice object, which is the top layer of
the PNG. You want to export your images as GIF or JPEG. It's important
for beginners to do the tutorials on the FW disk to acquire basic
knowledge of how the program works.

If you inserted a PNG into your web page, that could also be the problem.
Make sure you are exporting as a GIF or JPG file.
