C++ Runtime error Win XP

Hi all - I am administering an Intranet on my local network
. The site works fine from a number of machines however, on two machines I
can browse the site but whenever I click "EDIT PAGE" button the screen flashes
(as it checks the page out) and then I get :

"Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!
Program c:\program files\macromedia\contribute 3\contribute.exe

The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information"

I have installed the latest C++ runtime library from Microsoft - also
reinstalled several timesand tried various other things (that i have found
leading to C++ errors in other software) but still get the error.

PLEASE HELP!!!

OK, I cracked it. The users can ONLY edit pages when they are in the Administrators category - Bizarre. I wwould be intersted to hear form anyone else who has had this problem.
