C++ UDFs on db2 V8.1 - IBM DB2

Hi, I have a C++ UDF which I want to compile on DB2 V8.1 on a AIX platform. I have found doentation on compiling on a AIX environment(bldrtn), but for some reason it doesnt work on AIX. Any suggestions where I can get detailed information on this and some sample programs? Thanks...

    DB2 expects the C name mangling. So you have to use the following for your
    UDF enty points if you have C++ code:

    export "C"
    void SQL_API_FN udfEntry( ... )
    {
    ...
    }

    Would have been nice to see what went wrong. (some output)

    Search box : xlc

    Hit : Setting Up the UNIX SQL Procedures Environment

    v8.1 FP2 doc update
    <Snip.>
    For AIX only, use the keyword SQLROUTINE_ENTRY to replace the entry point
    name.
    An example using both these keywords can be seen in the command to set the
    default values of DB2_SQLROUTINE_COMPILE_COMMAND for IBM C for AIX Version
    5.0:
    <Snip.>
    2 db2set DB2_SQLROUTINE_COMPILE_COMMAND="xlc_r -I$HOME/sqllib/include \
    2 SQLROUTINE_FILENAME.c -bE:SQLROUTINE_FILENAME.exp -e SQLROUTINE_ENTRY \
    2 -o SQLROUTINE_FILENAME -L$HOME/sqllib/lib -ldb2"

    Do you use this somewhere?
    -e SQLROUTINE_ENTRY
