    I've never had to cache a query of a query; I've always cached the
    master-query,
    then made a query-of-a-query from that. You asked for ideas, so here is one.

    <cfldap action = "query" name = "myLDAPquery" ... etc. >

    <!--- cache query of query for one hour --->
    <cfquery dbtype="query" name="myLDAPQ_o_Q"
    cachedwithin="#createtimespan(0,1,0,0)#">
    select * from myLDAPquery
    </cfquery>
