Why not call them all using OSQL and a batch file ?

i'll explain what I am doing.

I have written one script to create my tables.

one script to populate test data in it.

Now I want to write a master script which will call these in proper
order so that my users can have table with test data.

    regards,
    Abhishek.

Create one batch file that has 2 OSQL commands. Each of these OSQL commands
will run 1 script, starting from table creation and then data population in
that order. Just run the batch file now.

    Hello SriSamp,

Thank you so much for your reply.

However, there is one problem with the batch file approach. if the first
osql command aborts because of some error, the second one will still
run... and I don't want this to happen.

If the two scripts were called from inside an sql script then the script
would stop if one statement failed.

I am new to SQL Server... but such feature is available in oracle.

    regards,
    Abhishek.
