http://www.olympus.co.jp/CS/digital/di/row/faq/tech/WinXP.html You might take a look at the XP
patch that is available. I'm not sure how you accessed your camera before, but when I connect my
camera to my XP machine the card shows up as removable drive.

    am
    with
    installing
    Windows
When I upgraded to WinXP and connected my Oly 3020, a box popped up on the
screen, which told me to install Camedia. I did - v.2.5 installed with no
problem, and then WinXP recogized my camera. In practice, I haven't
connected the camera again. I find it much easier to use a card reader.

The one big benefit to Camedia Master that I haven't seen with other software
is automatic correction of lens distortion based on the particular Olympus
camera and actual focal length used in the shot.

I do not know about the C920 specifically

but windows xp should just add a new drive with the camera acting as a
    mass-storage.

in simpler turms, plug it in, wait 30 seconds and look for the
    following :

    1. do you have a new hard-drive appeared ? (open ur My-Computer)
    2. do you have a new icon on the lower-right of your screen ? with an
    arrow on it.

if 1. is the case, just open it and view your pictures
if 2. is the case, get back to me on this one.

    hope this helps,
    LT

Ignore the message and click "install anyway."

If that doesn't work, download the newest Camedia software from

In WinXP Home Edition on my computer, connecting the camera to a USB port.
or putting a memory card in a reader, brings up a box with choices,
including viewing the pictures as a slide show.
