Nice animation. As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with your floor.
It doesn't creep or anything.

Your camera is attached to a dancing model. The model moves relative to the
floor, so the camera does too. In order to have the camera move
perpendicular to the floor (which I think is what you mean), you would have
to create an animated object that follows the character, but is not actually
part of the camera (so it does not tilt/roll), and parent the camera to this
model.

thnx Aldo i guess u probably understand what i need.

but what kind of animated object u have in mind? simple primitive? so i
should link him to model, and make another link with camera(as parent)?

waiting for answer...

best regards

Default im stuck, and im running out of time

Gianpiero:"
when i group biped character and any oter model, and tryin to link camera
(in any why) it dont act as linked at all, it stays in its current position,
no matter that group is moving, thnx for advice but its not working..."

well its way too dificult as i imagined
ok step by step
i have model animated with biped and camera

i'v linked camera to model, well in general it works (camera fallows the
models animation).

camera follows every little move of the model and general view gets too
sensitive (ground structure is flying)

now what i need is camera fallowing the model but not moving over X axis. I
need camera that follows a model but allways stays VERTICAL to floor, it
should react when character moves/turns but not when leans!

remember any 3d action game (TR,Rune or va :)): u see character from
the back and horizont is allways static no matter character is jumping,
leaning, fighting or else. So this is what i want to do...

maybe there is a 3dsmax specialist that can help me : (((

and GUYS thnX for TRYIN

when you say your camera is linked to the model, does that mean that the camera
is a child of the model?

try this,
put a box in a place where you want to have your camera.
group that box with your model

now use lingo:
a=box.getworldtransform.position
camera.transform.position=a
camera.pointAt(model.transform.position)

this will set the camera to the same position as the box
and the camera will now look at the model (pointAt)

the camera is no parent

may be this is what you were after

?

This is wat i did:

1.Created scene 3dsmax

Biped animated model (Bip01)

3 cameras (all of them are free, not linked, grouped or stmhg.)

Camera03 is set to show model allways from the back

2.In Director. I used chromelib to:

Attach camera to model (Camera03 to Bip01) (all offsets 0)

well as 3rd move i tryed allso pointat() or TargetCamera it didnt work,
effect was the same. I cant get camera just fallow model and stay parallel
to the floor

http://vaidila.vdu.lt/~if000059/as.dcr -click Larrow

Where is mistake? What else to do? Can u give me a link tu tutorial or write
step by step what to do.

my head gonna exploed.

thnx for guys, u the best
