Can an imported pdf be exported again as a pdf?
Hi,
I am using CS1 and will be importing pdf files to create my pages. Are there any problems then creating a new pdf file of this InDesign CS1 document with the imported pdfs?
Thanks,
Meryl

I've been doing it for years with no issues. I wouldn't recommend going
more than three or four deep, however.

Re: Can an imported pdf be exported again as a pdf?
The only potential issue I know of is with fonts. Under certain (by me not-yet-understood) conditions the re-encoding of fonts can go awry.
Check for missing glyphs and damaged kerning in the resulting PDF.
By all means uncheck "Use local fonts" in Acrobat.

Re: Can an imported pdf be exported again as a pdf?
It depends a lot on where the PDF came from as well. All PDFs are not created equal, and I've gotten some very strange results dropping in PDFs from unknown sources. Generally, it's a fairly safe practice, but it's useful to know that there are some potholes in that road.
