Can Anyone Explain H264 Incompatibility?
I'd like to use QuickTime's H.264 codec to encode embedded video clips for PDF. I can successfully embed Sorenson3 encoded video, but not H.264 - What gives??
I have searched the forums for h264, 264, mpeg4, and mpeg 4. Very little shows up, save for one post in a thread that says not to use mpeg 4 (doesn't say why, though).
I am running 10.4.7, QT 7.1.2, Acrobat Pro 7.0.8...
What's the deal here?

You might have better luck in the Apple QuickTime forums.

Re: Can Anyone Explain H264 Incompatibility?
I might, but since my issue is playback in Acrobat (it plays fine everywhere else I try it), I thought I might ask here first.
Thanks for the tip, though. ;o)

Re: Can Anyone Explain H264 Incompatibility?
The great majority of PDF users who come here don't use interactive PDF features like placing movies. For the tiny percentage who do (like me), most of us don't know diddly-squat about codecs and just use the defaults.
Which is why you're having a hard time getting your question answered.
