Can I do this? And if so, how? [Bryce to Director] - Macromedia Director 3D

I have a shape that someone's done in Bryce. They can export it as an .obj file, which means I think I can simply bring it into Director. What I'd like, is for this object so slowly rotate in the bottom corner of a presentation during a time period. Would I: 1. Create the animation in Bryce and export the animation to import into Director? If so, what formats would work best, and how can I get an alpha channel with that so it's over my background? 2. Export just the shape and import it into director and animate it ...

    2. Export just the shape and import it into director and animate it there,
creating possibly a movie clip? If so, what formats will work best going
    from Bryce to Director?

    Thanks in advance.

I can't tell you specifically what format to use here, but I think there's a
built-in OBJ converter in DirectorMX (i've not had a need for it but I'm
pretty sure I've seen it.) If you don't know anything about Lingo, anything
with 3d is going to be kinda hard at first. If you do have a working
knowledge of Lingo, simply rotating a model will be childsplay. You
mentioned "time period" so it may be more complicated than i'm imagining...

Exists an "obj-converter" but the result is insufficient, textures and materials are lost.
3D studio or Maya or LightWave can read much kind of files and can export directly in W3D.

If you disable DTS of 3D castmember, the background can be transparent.
