can i download a whole site using contribute?
I've been told that its best to work/edit pages on your website by downloading
the whole site, working on a specific page and then uploading the edited page.
that way if you make a mistake you still have a copy of the original page. Is
that something contribute can do? please help

Nathalie,
You've been told wrong. Some websites are several, even hundreds of MB. You
wouldn't want to d/l the entire site to work on one page.
Speaking only to your Contribute question, No, Contribute cannot d/l an entire
site. It's not an FTP program like WSFTP.
What you SHOULD do is edit the Contribute preferences for the number of
versions of an edited page to keep, so you can roll-back in case of a mistake.
Choose a number you are comfortable with.
