Can I embed external MXML in another MXML file?
Hi - I'm new to this so please bear with me. I'm trying to do something like
you do in JSP's with a JSP include where I can import prewritten code so I can
put it in multiple files without rewriting it every time. Is there such a
thing as an MXML include? Or something equal to it? I've looked at
httpService but that's not quite the same. And I see where I can use #include
in an action script statement but when I use that it gives me multiple errors
like "Unexpected '<' encountered"

Yeah you need to look into custom components. Go to live docs at the link
below and search on custom components. There are also samples in the flex
samples explorer.

Thank you so much for the help. Chapter 15 had the info I needed. It was unbelievably easy once I knew where to find the info. You were very helpful.
