Default Can I Password-Protect Parts of a PDF File?

    Hello.

    I have Acrobat 6.0 Professional.

I'd like to know if it's possible to create a password-protected PDF file that can limit viewing of certain pages.

What I want to do, specifically, is create a PDF file with oh, let's say a dozen pages. I want every other page to be hidden and inaccessible. If the user wants to view and have access to all of the pages, a password must be entered, which would then "unlock" the entire PDF file.

Something like shareware that limits the features of the application until or unless a serial number is entered.

Is this possible in any way with Acrobat 6.0 Professional? If so, what would be the best way to go about doing this? Is there documentation anywhere for this?

Thank you very much! Jack Danniel

I don't think this is possible but I am sure someone will probably say otherwsie.

The only way I can think of doing it would be to create seperate PDFs and have a good interface for linking from one to the other - obviously applying security to the the pages (PDFs) that you want protected.
