Can I reliably get a Flash movie's image off-screen?

Default Can I reliably get a Flash movie's image off-screen?

Subject says it all - embedded fonts are unreliable, but why can't I use
Flash to render stuff (with font outlines embedded in the Flash movie)
off-screen which I can then treat as bitmaps? Take whatever dynamic text I
need in Director, pass it quietly to an off-stage Flash movie, grab its
image, save it in a cast member and so on...

I'm just afraid that off-stage is a world I'm a little afraid of, not
knowing how Director and Flash work together on the whole rendering level.

Suppose I might be able to stick a temporary MIAW over the top of my
    stage...

Thoughts people? The font thing's a real problem for us.

I believe you can - as long as DTS is turned off. This is actually a pretty
good idea, should be worth a try.

    Why are embedded fonts unreliable???
IŽve never had a problem with that. Tell me what happened so IŽll take care
    of that in the future.

If you create a projector and then run it on a Windows XP or 2000 system,
where the user does not have local administrator privileges, any embedded
fonts will not work. This is because Director does not store the font
outlines, but instead tries to temporarily install the font at runtime. If
the user does not have administrative rights, it will not be able to install
the font. Not sure if the problem affects Shockwave or not.
