Can I remove old versions?
I just installed version 7 (upgrade) on my computer but noticed that I still have versions 5 and 6 installed. I am running short of diskspace. May I safely remove the old versions? I am concerned because my CD is an upgrade version.
Thanks!

Re: Can I remove old versions?
You should be able to remove them safely, just decline the option to delete any shared files. However ...
I had V4 and the V7 upgrade. On one [W98SE] computer, I installed the V7, providing the V4 media when requested. On another [W2K] computer [my laptop - I am allowed the 2nd install], this would not work. The only way I could get V7 to install was to install 4 first and then apply the upgrade. But when I subsequently removed V4, V7 wouldn't work.
I would suggest that you uninstall V5 and V6. If V7 then doesn't work, uninstall it and reinstall, providing V5/6 media when requested.
