Can index update when marked items move in the document?
Created the index just fine, then they asked for some things to be moved around in the document. I can't find a way for the index to automatically update, so maybe I'm dreaming. If I generate a new index, the page numbers are the same as before. I also don't understand what "Update Preview" means because it doesn't change the page numbers. I'm working in InDesign CS2.

I would be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong, but I believe you have to regenerate an index to get the page numbers to update. The main setback of this is of course you lose all local foramtting you've apllied after generating the index.

Sure enough, regenerating the index does come up with the new page numbers. Whew! and Thanks!
