    Default Can not log in

    I am running Windows 2000 serve
    When i try to log in the log in screen goes away and a
    blank desktop remains. I let is sit for hours and it
    remains blank.
    I have to unplug it and restart just to allow me to atempt
    another log in try; which yeild the same results.

    HISTORY
    This strated to happen after i was messing around trting
    to over come another issue: I could not terminal service
    in.
    I went to SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS to SERVICES to
    TERMINAL SERVICES to LOG ON--BROWSE--Chose .\Administrator-
    -Set my passwords--clicked APPLY.
    Then I could not log in after this.

    Please help.

    Default Re: Can not log in

    Try to logon in Safe Mode or if this is a domain controller, use Directory
    Services Restore Mode. Then open Services and change the Logon back to
    Local System Account. If you cannot logon in Safe Mode, boot the Server, do
    not attempt to logon; then try to connect from the Computer Management
    console on another network computer and make the change remotely.
