can not use DVD,,,,help me

AFAIK is a DVD-RW not a DVD-RAM
Have you ewally got a "DVD-RAM" disk ?

Dears,
I have got a DVD ram with my P670.It is scsi dvd ram with following
specs:

# lscfg -vp | grep cd0
cd0 U0.1-P2/Z3-A1 SCSI DVD-RAM Drive (4700 MB)

Now when i use IBM test DVD cartridge ,,,it works fine with DVD ram
and backup all goes fine .
But when i use imation 4.7 GB DVD Cartridge...no backup could be
done...even the device could not be opened.I tried creating udf
filesystem on cartridge but no luck.
When mksysb was tried to be done it gives following error;
/usr/sbin/mkcd -L -d '/dev/cd0' -V 'rootvg'


Command: failed stdout: yes stderr: no

0512-303 mkcd: Device /dev/cd0 is not ready.

DVD we are using is "imation DVD+RW 4.7GB".

I have tried smitty mkdvd & mkcd both but no success ( both is0xxx &
udf formats but no success).
Can anybody tell me that which type of cartridges i can use with IBM
DVD RAM device.
Please help me!!!
