Can SDK enable commenting rights to a PDF?
Hi folks,
Wondering if the Acrobat SDK can enable commenting rights
to a PDF file to allow a user opening the file from Acrobat
Reader to be able to comment and mark up the file?
I am not looking to edit the file with Reader but instead
only to mark it up and provide comments.
Thanks,
Glenn

Re: Can SDK enable commenting rights to a PDF?
No, no API to this in Acrobat. You would need LiveCycle Reader
Extensions.

Re: Can SDK enable commenting rights to a PDF?
Thanks for your post.
Yes, it seems that LiveCycle Reader Extensions is needed. It would be nice if Adobe could get back to me with some pricing on this product. I suppose one solution would be to require users to install Acrobat Standard on their machine which would allows them to mark-up and add comments to PDF documents.
