says it was fixed on 3/26/08 and implies it was for the Moxie release. I
don't see the fix now in Flex 3. I'm not sure what or when the Moxie release
is. Does anybody know? Thanks.

I've lost my "Styles" in my Lighting Effects

Moxie was the code name within Adobe for Flex 3.

You can't IIRC it only accepts one styleName property.
