can't execute files? - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

Hi, I had to reinstall my Server, also upgrading to SUSE 8.2 in the process. But now I can't execute programs that have remained on the second harddisc anymore. I have no idea what could be wrong, always get a 'Permission Denied' error. I even wrote a new testscript (echo test), which gives the error if execute in a directory on the second disc. If I copy it to /root, it executes fine. I also can't see anything wrong with the file permissions, and I am using the ./test syntax, naturally. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance! Bjoern...

Did you check the mount options for the partition? Maybe they are set to
    "noexec".
