Can't reconnect to the internet after plugout-plugin of ethernet cable - Mac Applications & Software

So far I was able to unplug the ethernet cable from my runnig G4 Powerbook and go to another room, plug in to another ethernet plug and connect to the internet again. I am using DHCP on Mac OSX 10.2.6 Since several days I have to reboot my computer in order to get an new internet connection. Does anyone have a solution or the same problem?...

Don't really know why it is doing this, but you can try a program called
tail, you can get a copy for free from www.versiontracker.com.
Once you get it installed, click on the network tab, and then click on the
DHCP part, click as for new lease and see if that helps.

    Dear Jason

Thank you for your help. I found the source of the problem. It was the
VPN client by cisco. It sets a certain port to zero, which is not
    correct.
