Can we save files in previous version 8 when the artwork are done in Illustrator CS?

I'm using windows 2000. Can we save files in previous version 8 when the artwork are done in Illustrator CS? Thanks~

CS no longer gives you the ability to "save as" a previous version. The new way to do that is to "export" the file as a previous version of ai. So just scroll down a little further under FILE and look for EXPORT then change the filetype to ILLUSTRATOR LEGACY. This is now necessary because of the change in the text engine. I believe this would also be the case with eps files that are to be opened by previous versions of AI.

Ahhh, but is there any way of exporting as version 6 .eps?

No, 10, 9, 8 or 3 are your only choices

Also there was no Windows version 6 Illustrator, so that would be for a MAC only. In early versions, you also had to have version to version for cross platform file recognition.
