Can you alter or simplify a 3D mapped object?
I need to wrap a logo around a cylinder in a line art drawing so I did a simple 3D revolved cylinder and mapped on the logo (which is vector art too). I was hoping if I made the stroke "no color" that the cylinder would dissappear and the logo would remain but it didn't.
I guess I can mask the cylinder and leave the logo visible, but is there a way to turn the 3D mapped logo into vector lines in its new "wrapped" shape?

Re: Can you alter or simplify a 3D mapped object?
In the mapping Dialog Window you will see at the bottom Invisible Geometry and now you will have logo wrapped but no cylinder it will be floating you can do something
similar by setting you text drawing a rectangle in front of it and in the Object>Envelop Distort chose Make with Top Object.

The object you revolve into a cylinder should be filled, and not stroked.
